Support close to home: The Passage

The Passage help up to 200 homeless men and women in Victoria every day. It’s London’s largest voluntary sector resource centre for the homeless and the vulnerable people – and our neighbour.

Passage House is a neighbouring 40-bed hostel that was opened in 2001. The hostel provides a welcome shelter for people sleeping rough in the area, through a safe, flexible and supportive environment that is psychologically- and trauma-informed. The charity works with each individual to agree a time-limited plan for a longer term route off the street.

It costs over £4 million a year to keep The Passage going, with just 33% funded from statutory sources. The rest comes from donations from individuals, church organisations, charitable trusts and companies, such as ourselves.

We’re proud to support The Passage as our local charity because we can easily see – every morning and every evening – the difference it makes to those in need and how much care and help the Outreach Workers provide.

We’re currently looking forward to volunteers for the Summer garden party that the organisation holds annually.
